Our Founders
Founded by Charlotte, Philly and Sara, three Kiwi girls with oceans of experience spanning business, creativity, feminism, photography and skincare.
We are all about things that are wild. Foraged. Natural and unpretentious. Like the first swim of summer or the warmth of a well-lined winter coat.
We’re inspired by things and stories that move us and make us think differently. Because that is where true beauty lies.

Bruce Johnson
Auditor
Bruce is a Bali local and our on-the-ground auditor.
A horticulturist, his skill base makes him invaluable, managing our suppliers to ensure ethical trade as well as ensuring the highest quality pure virgin Coconut oil.
Family Collectives

Thanaka family collective
Harvesting Thanaka on their plantation, our thanaka family share their land with five other households in Myanmar.

Kanuka honey and propolis collective
Our beekeepers harvest our kanuka honey and bee propolis on a beautiful, untouched island in the Marlborough Sounds located in New Zealand.

Coconut oil collective
Our Balinese cold-pressed Coconut oil is gathered by a working collective of families in the Nongan village in the foothills of rural Bali. They use time-tested natural processes to produce our virgin oil.
Giving Back in Myanmar
Wanting to do our part to support the village which produces our hero ingredient, Thanaka, Girl Undiscovered set about putting together a Foundation that could assist the people in as many ways as possible.
HELPING TO INCREASE EFFICIENCY
In 2017 we replaced the existing machinery used for Thanaka processing and grinding to enable the village to take on more business, in turn helping them to earn more income.

BEYOND SUBSISTENCE FARMING

Supporting sustainability and in collaboration with our representative, Tint, Girl Undiscovered has taken a lease on a piece of land to plant Thanaka trees, in an effort to help elevate the village beyond subsistence farming.
Sponsoring Girls To Complete Their Education
Whilst public schools don't charge tuition fees, there are many 'hidden costs', such as uniforms, school supplies and transportation that make school unaffordable for many. Our Foundation sponsors the girls from the village that can't afford these costs, to attend and finish high school.
